Ian McGregor

Ian joined StructureSolver in 2016 and recently received his B.S. in Geology from San Francisco State University. Ian's responsibility is developing technical information, assets and reports, and software development and testing.

Ian’s undergraduate research at SFSU involved field-based geologic analysis and mapping for outcrop-scale and map-scale kinematic indicators of late Pleistocene and younger dextral shearing through the northern Santa Lucia Ranges, Central California. Informative for seismic hazards assessments by providing physical evidence for displacement components and new fault mapping. Poster presented at the 2016 GSA Cordilleran Section Meeting in Ontario, CA, and AEG San Francisco Bay Area chapter meeting in April 2016.

Ian is a guitarist of 16 years performing a variety of music around the San Francisco Bay Area, as well as a surfer and backpacker.
