Version 7.2: Date of Release: November 2023
Version 7.2 is a minor release:
- Previous versions would not run in Windows environments where compliance to the Federal Information Processing Standards was enforced (typically through the Security Options Settings). We have upgraded the way in which we validate one of the libraries that StructureSolver depends upon so that a FIPS-compliant algorithm is used. Please note that there was no security vulnerability of any form associated with our earlier method.
- In Version 7.1, when StructureSolver solution files were opened by double-clicking on a file icon or name, the main form would not resize to its correct size immediately. This problem has been fixed.
Structural Modeling Menu
- In Versions 7.0 and 7.1 there was a bug when deleting surfaces using the context menu. If you tried to delete the datum surface in a deformed structural model, a warning message would pop up in an infinite loop. The only way to get out of this loop was to end the StructureSolver task using the Task Manager. This problem did not arise when deleting surfaces using the main menu. This bug has been fixed. Now if you attempt to delete the datum surface in a deformed model you can continue after acknowledging the warning message.
